ABI Backs Action Mesothelioma Day 2009

Commenting on today's Action Mesothelioma Day organised by the British Lung Foundation, Nick Starling, the ABI's Director of General Insurance and Health, said:

"Mesothelioma is a cruel illness, and we fully support this campaign to raise awareness and improve the treatment and care for sufferers. Insurers remain fully committed to paying fair compensation to claimants as quickly as possible. To help this, ABI runs a tracing service which helps many mesothelioma claimants find an insurer to claim against where their employer has ceased trading."

  1. Yeah mesothelioma is a rare disease that quietly builds up and worsens inside the body. Many who have mesothelioma do not realize they have the disease until 20-50 years after exposure to asbestos.
